How I got here
I started in finance back in 2013 as a secured loan specialist. My job was helping people consolidate debts down to one manageable monthly payment, or unlock equity from their homes for things like extensions and home improvements. That early work taught me something important: most people aren't bad with money — they've just had a bad run. Illness, redundancy, divorce, a business that didn't quite work out. Life happens. Credit files take the hit.
From secured loans I moved into mortgages, working through high-street banks and then brokers. I saw both sides of the industry — the side that turns people away because their case is "too complex", and the side that actually rolls up its sleeves and works out a way through. I wanted to be on the second side. That's why I set up my own business.
Today, I run the company. I answer the phones. I'm the first voice you'll hear. After our initial chat, I'll either handle your case myself or, if your situation needs a specific specialism, I'll match you with the adviser on my team best suited to your circumstances. Either way, the relationship starts with me — and I stay involved.

Why I specialise in adverse credit
There's an unspoken truth in the mortgage industry: most brokers prefer easy cases. Perfect credit, salaried PAYE income, a chunky deposit. Those cases close fast and pay nicely.
I went the opposite direction. I built my business specifically around the people who get turned away — CCJs, defaults, missed payments, IVAs, self-employed with messy accounts, all of it. Three reasons:
The honest answer
One: there's less competition. Most brokers don't want these cases, which means the people who need help most often can't find it. Two: when you've spent enough time with specialist lenders, you actually become useful at this — you know which lender accepts what, and you know how to present a case so it gets a yes first time. Three: the gratitude is real. People who've been turned down by three banks don't take their mortgage for granted when it eventually comes through.
